Metatrainer

 

Usually a Metatrainer gives feedback to the Experimenters. In caser no Metatrainer is available the group leader or someone with experience (announced by the group leader) may do this.

The here written responsibilities protect the Metatrainer against too high expectations from Experimenters and participants.

Who & what is the Metatrainer

The Metatrainer is a security for the acteurs and the whole group in case a participant does not feel comfortable or an exercise gets too extreme. By this the Metatrainer supports a feeling of security that shall help the participants to open up.

Requirements

The Metatrainer has an education in coaching and experience in training and the handling of difficult participants and training siuations.

Rules for the Metatrainer

The Metatrainer only acts on invitation / when asked to.

Before the talkin’

The Metatrainer has a coaching function. The Experimenters can choose to discuss their concept with him before the talkin’. The expected duration for that are not more than 30 minutes. The Metatrainer does not offer ideas for the concept but gives feedback. Also here applies: The initiative has to come from the Experimenters.

During a talkin’

The Metatrainer is announced and named personally. The Metatrainer only acts in difficult situations if asked to. Also when the Experimenters or participants fail the Metatrainer does not intervenes.

The Metatrainer observes the group and prepares to give feedback. The Metatrainer steps back during the exercises (except of the introduction round).

The Metatrainer only intervenes on request by the Experimenters.

During the talkin’ for the participants

Participants have no right to get feedback or coaching. In case a participant has personal problems the Metatrainer is responsible for intervention and points out suitable institutions (hospital, therapists,….).

After the talkin’

The Metatrainer is prepared to give the Experimenters feedback on their request on the same evening. Later feedback is not provided.
